Hyderabad, Nov 26: A new nationalist party Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM), was founded at Sunn on Saturday evening.
This was announced in “Jeay Sindh Works Conference” convened by nationalist leader Shafi Muhammad Burfat and Dr. Mir Alam Marri.
Speakers in conference alleged that attitude of JSQM was non-serious regarding the national independence.
The conference held that the Jeay Sindh Mahaz (JSM), had fallen party to the opportunism because of its affiliation with Ponam. The conference expressed that there was a need to found a new nationalist party to “free Sindh from the imperialistic control of Punjab.”
The conference resolved that late G.M. Syed will be the “Rahbar” of the JSMM. Its flag, national anthem, and slogan will also remain the same.
The conference constituted a three-member committee, comprising Dr. Mir Alam Mari, Maula Bukhsh Burro and Mir Mohammad, to draft the party constitution.
The conference also constituted a seven-member central body under the chairmanship of Shafi Muhammad Burfat; which will be in office till January 2002. Besides, a 21 member central committee was also constituted.
Another five-member committee under Dr. Mir Alam Mari was constituted to organize different wings of the party.
Later, the participants, led by Shafi Muhammad Burfat paid homage to the grave of late G.M. Syed, where the oath was administered to the office-bearers and workers of the new party by Maula Bukhsh Burro.
