Home / Martyrs of Sindhudesh / Mumtaz Bhutto, JSMM Activist

Mumtaz Bhutto was younger brother of Slain JSMM Secretary General Muzafar Bhutto (See P.7). He and other family members, women and children were wounded in a grenade attack by Pakistani agencies on the house of Muzafar Bhutto intended to kill him, in a response to JSMM’s strike call, a day prior to it.

He was admitted to a nearby government hospital but hospital administration, on the bid of agencies, conditioned Muzafar’s apprehension with his treatment and he succumbed to his injuries on July 1st, 2009.

The greatest anti-Sindhi act by Mr. Bhutto was the 1973 Constitution, which reduced Sindh into small component of the Pakistani federation.
